project HOME... shape logos

For this assignment we had to create logos based on our topics...for my shape logos i decided to use bright colors that remind me much of the Miami scenery and i used more square shapes and straight lines which remind me of the Philadelphia city scape.

project HOME...change @ MOORE

in the second image i changer the size of the nail polish to show how i feel like im out of place in a sea of the sameness...and in the third image i placed the nail polish in front of MOORE to show how sometimes i feel separated and different from everything that goes on at the school...

and project HOME begins...

TROPICANA: Miami is considered tropical and the colors of the grapefruit juice reminds me of the houses in OpaLocka.

BISMOL: The green and pink reminds me of the lush vegetation and beautiful hybiscus plants that grow around the city.

WET AND WILD: The blue of the nail polish looks like the sky of SouthBeach at noon.

BEADS: just a few of the colors found in the exotic and rare plants at FairchildTropicalGarden.

project HOME...

for my project i originally decided to photograph pictures of my friends to show my life in a new environment. After some thought, i decided against it. Rather than photographing my friends i decided to photograph things and color that reminded me of my home town, Miami, sort of a memoire of my past life. I am also really into macro-photography so i decided to incorporate that factor as well in some of the pictures.

a day @ MOORE...

just a few picture from my many great days @ MOORE so far...

i enjoy seeing this city for what no one else can...
